Australia Council for the Arts
The Australia Council for the Arts is the Australian Government's arts funding and advisory body. It supports Australia's arts through funding, strengthening and developing the arts sector. It collaborates to build new audiences, foster philanthropic support and deepen our understanding of the arts through research. Each year, the Australia Council provides more than $160 million in funding for arts organisations and individual artists across the country. The council also funds Splendid and the other programs which make up the current government initiative to deliver Opportunities for Young and Emerging Artists.
Arts NSW is the NSW Government's arts policy and funding body and is a part of the new Communities NSW.
Arts NSW aims to foster a spirited arts and cultural environment, which values our artists and our heritage, which builds community, excites our imagination and inspires our future. Splendid was awarded an Arts NSW's Strategic Industry Development grant to co-fund the commissioning of works in 2010.
Arts Queensland is the State Government body dedicated to building a strong and vibrant arts and cultural sector in Queensland. Arts Queensland assists artists and arts companies to take their work to audiences across Australia and the world.
Arts Queensland is a major supporter of more than 40 festivals across the state including Queensland Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Cairns Indigenous Art Fair, The Dreaming, Brisbane Festival, Swell Sculpture Festival, Reggaetown Festival, Brisbane Writers Festival, Laura Aboriginal Dance Festival, Out of the Box Festival for children and many others.
Linnaeus Education Fund
Linnaeus hosts residencies for artists and musicians and stages events and performances featuring, artists, musicians and professionals in creative disciplines such as architecture and design. In addition, the estate hosts a range of conferences and forums for environmental education. In many instances Linnaeus has partnered with local community groups, businesses, government and arts bodies in staging these events and residencies.
The Linnaeus Estate through its Education fund is committed to supporting art, creativity, culture and education and is a proud supporter of Splendid.
LED-Signs are pleased to be in a position to support Splendid artist Jordana Maisie's and her art work Close Encounters and contribute to the development of upcoming creative talent.
